Sculptures of Our Place in Space in Chiavenna
Interactive galaxies, like the Antennae Galaxies and the rose-shaped Arp 273 acted as inspiration for these alabaster sculptures made by the artist Sara Teresano. They freeze the swirling motions of galaxies in a super-hard material, with myriad stars hidden in the warping structure. These sculptures are part of the Hubble travelling exhibition Our Place in Space.
