Decay of a Martian Dust Storm
On July 9, 1997, a streamer of dust is visible in the North polar region, extending about 1200 km southward from the dark sand dunes surrounding the polar ice cap.
When compared to a similar image taken on June 27, 1997, one can see that major changes takes place in the Martian atmosphere.
