Neptune and its moons
This video, showing the movement of Neptune’s moons around their planet, is based on observations made with the NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope on 25–26 June 2011.
A series of observations taken several hours apart show the different faces of the planet as it rotates, and the movement of its moons. Using computer software, the orbits of the moons were reconstructed and the separate exposures combined into a single 3D map of the planet’s surface.Credit:
